What you’ll do from day one
The Electrical Technician is responsible for supporting the tasks of the Quality department. The Electrical Technician primarily focuses on getting products through the department in a timely manner by maintaining the database and providing support to Production and Purchasing.
The impact you’ll make
- Maintaining QC data base, including entering new QC items, determining and maintaining QC item tests for incoming inspections, performing first article inspections, and creating and maintaining QC reports.
- Internal Non-Conformances, including providing production support for all quality issues, performing internal investigations, and creating MRRs and initiating CARs when applicable,
- Vendor Returns (VRMAs), including performing initial investigations, creating MRRs and VRMAs when needed, and preparing and communicating information internally.
- In Process Repair, including testing offline units, troubleshooting offline units, reading schematic/PCB layout, determining the cause of failure, disposition of offline units, and soldering/desoldering electronic components.
- Incoming Inspections, including visually inspecting incoming components, performing measurements using calibrated equipment, perform inspection tests, dispositioning QC receiver, and log data from tests.
- Customer Returns (RMAs), including inspecting products, communicate status interdepartmentally, repair/refurbish units for stock, test returned product, and disposition of returned product.
- Quality Control Team Member, including maintaining the flow of quality materials, component training, solder training, investigating quality anomalies, and maintaining a clean and organized lab area.
- Engineering Team Member, including attending and contributing to team meetings, provide information and support to FDI team members, communicates and represents the organization to customers and other external sources, establish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships, and other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
- Associate’s degree in electrical engineering school of technology or similar field required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a tester or inspector or related experience
- 3 years of experience in a quality-related position
- Prior knowledge of electrical components or 3 years work experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future needs for sponsorship
It’s a plus if you have
- Prior experience with Syteline
- Advanced knowledge of product installation environment
- Advanced knowledge of circuit board analysis and troubleshooting
- Data analysis and documentation
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of: calipers, oscilloscopes, micrometers, multimeters, and testing jigs
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of the practical application of applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to distinguish between colors
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Must work with safety in mind, follow safety procedures and policies
