This luncheon is a great opportunity for you and your female professional staff to learn about how to display concern without offering pity yet also respecting the privacy of a co-worker, friend or family member who is facing an overwhelming illness. So, while you might need a few tissues, you will leave feeling empowered and inspired. Here is what you will receive/view:
• A brief film clip from a well-known movie demonstrating helpful/hurtful comments to a terminally ill individual.
• A handout on sensitivity and understanding for being present with those who suffer.
• A few scenarios for attendees at the table to role play with each other.
