PokéMonday!

PokéMonday!!  Downtown Kokomo has the most #Pokéstops per block than anywhere else in the city, so where better to have a #Pokémon-inspired evening.

Starting Monday, Aug. 22, the Greater Kokomo Downtown Association will present PokeMonday sponsored by Sam's Club.

From 4 to 7 p.m., Pokémon trainers of all experience levels are invited to downtown Kokomo where lures will be set at 20 Pokéstops.

Those participating in the free event should start their evening of Pokémon hunting at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library - 220 N. Union St. The library will provide information on how to get started playing Pokémon GO for beginners. There will also be grab bags and other fun activities. Also at the library, Sam's Club will share Pokéball cookies with the first 200 trainers during Monday’s inaugural event.

#Pikachu will be downtown throughout the evening, making his first stop at the library.
