Speaker: Quiana Preston, Authentic Center Team Motivation: The Power of Competing Commitments
The session will begin by exploring three types of employees: Engaged—employees who work with passion feeling connected to their company, Not-engaged—employees who have stopped caring; lethargic performers, and Actively Disengaged—employees are unhappy and it is clearly reflected in their work performance and interpersonal relationships.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Participants will be able to identify the type of employees—engaged, not-engaged, actively disengaged—currently existing at their workplace giving them a targeted advantage for improving team motivation.
2. Participants will be able to define what a competing commitment is, the importance of uncovering them and its impact on team motivation.
3. Participants will leave with a diagnostic tool for uncovering competing commitments on a personal and organizational level. This tool can be used at trainings, staff meetings, retreats as well as during the process of individual performance evaluations.
