Educate & Elevate: Growing Your Leadership Style with Dr. Angelyn Anderson

Register in advance for this webinar.

Leadership is a living, breathing action – not simply an item to be checked off on a style inventory. Knowing your leadership style is only the beginning. Effectively using your style to lead and effect change is the end goal. Attendees of this workshop will explore strategies to effectively manage and grow their leadership style. They will also learn how to incorporate these strategies into their daily interactions so that they not only grow, but flourish and thrive as leaders.

About your speaker: Dr. Angelyn M. Anderson serves as Principal of Angelyn Anderson Consulting, LLC; a firm that specializes in engaging community residents in the process of historic and cultural preservation. Her research interests examine the impact gentrification has on historic and cultural preservation when the gentrifier and gentrified are both African-American. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, she has experience in leadership development, strategic management, process analysis and assessment, and policy development. In addition to her experience as an educator, Dr. Anderson currently serves on the boards of Chicago Volunteer Doulas and the Vivian G. Harsh Society; is a volunteer at DuSable Museum of African-American History; and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She is a graduate of Illinois State University, Loyola University Chicago, and Olivet Nazarene University, where she earned her doctorate in Ethical Leadership. Dr. Anderson is currently working on a documentary related to her research as well as a podcast addressing the microaggressions African-American women face in society.
