Maintaining communicating with clients, customers, partners, or employees is difficult during normal circumstances, but during a crisis, it can seem impossible. Whether you are a small business challenged with a minimal budget or a larger corporation struggling to identify how to communicate with everyone, crisis communication planning is essential in order to be efficient and effective. During this Educate & Elevate, Debra Bethard-Caplick, owner of Quicksilver Edge Communications in Chicago, will share with attendees how to plan for a crisis and communicate with key stakeholder groups when the worst happens.

About the speaker: Debra Bethard-Caplick is the founder of Quicksilver Edge Strategic Communications, an award-winning boutique PR firm in Chicago. She is a past chair of the PRSA Midwest District, past president of PRSA Suburban Chicago, and a life member of the International Association of Business Communicators. She is also an adjunct instructor at DePaul and Loyola Universities in Chicago and blogs on the foibles of the PR profession at www.APRwriter.com. Debra earned her B.S. degree from Illinois State University and her M.S. in Management-Public Relations and MBA degrees from the University of Maryland in 2007.
