Dedication - Markland Mall Mural

You are cordially invited to attend a dedication ceremony at Markland Mall on Friday, November 15 at 4:00pm.  (Southeast entrance to mall by Sears)

Mary Martin, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Markland Mall said, “ We [Markland Mall] want to be seen as part of the community.”  They have asked a local artist, Dixie Ben-Net, to paint a mural inside the mall showcasing our rich local and unique automotive history.  Dixie is passionate in her work and did this project as a means to promote the arts in Kokomo and is collecting donations to an ongoing Elevator Fund for inside ArtWorks in Downtown Kokomo.  The work she has done is beautiful!  Many are unaware that the land the mall is built on is leased from the Drago/Amore family.   The mural will reflect that history as well.
