Chamber University opens with Social Networking
Exploring Social Networking will be the first of seven Greater Kokomo Chamber University topics that will be presented during the lunch hour the last Thursday of each month at Inventrek Technology Park, 700 E. Firmin St.
The Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce is working with Ivy Tech Community College, Kokomo, on the series that will run from April through October.
The first Chamber University will be 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. April 28. Registration will be at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
Alliance stakeholders in five of the six investment levels (President’s Diamond Circle, President’s Club, Executive, Visionary, and Innovator) will receive free tickets; others will be charged $25.
Chad Lewis, continuing education coordinator Kokomo region at Ivy Tech Community College and adjunct faculty at Ivey Tech’s School of Liberal Arts, will be the Social Networking speaker. Lewis will discuss the use of Twitter, Tweet Deck, Linked In, and Facebook. Lewis earned a bachelor’s of science degree in organization leadership at the Indiana Institute of Technology. He is studying
for a master’s degree in business administration-strategic leadership at Western Governors University.
Future Chamber University topics include the Health Care Bill, Conducting Effective Meetings, Outsmart Your Smart Phone, Small Business Best Practices, Conflict Management, and Saving Money by Energy Auditing.
Reservations for the Social Networking Chamber University must be made by April 25.
