The Kokomo Lantern is an online media organization dedicated to illuminating the good and eliminating the shadows in our community. As of November 2025, the Kokomo Lantern is read by more than 32,000 people, overwhelmingly located in Howard County, Indiana.
The Kokomo Lantern's publisher is Patrick Munsey, a veteran journalist who has covered the Howard County community for more than three decades with the Kokomo Tribune and the Kokomo Perspective before starting the Lantern in 2022. His business partner is April Chaplin, known by many in the community as a former morning host at Z92.5 and former video personality for the City of Kokomo's KGOV operation.
