About Us

The Howard County Historical Society manages the Seiberling Mansion, home of the Howard County Museum, and the Elliott House, an event rental venue adjacent to the museum. The Seiberling Mansion was built in 1891 for one of Kokomo's most well-known and best-remembered, gas boom industrialists and entrepreneurs, Monroe Seiberling. The elaborate Victorian home, rescued from the ravages of time by the Historical Society in 1972, is listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
